Six days, three Mendozas. The first is the one of the wineries you recognize on the label: Trapiche, Chandon, Catena Zapata and the tasting-menu dinner at El Enemigo, among vineyards and candles —the night that yields the photo of the trip. The second is the Uco Valley, where you sleep two nights among the vines at the foot of the Andes, with lunch at Zuccardi Piedra Infinita, the chef at DiamAndes and sunset at Andeluna. The third is the high Andes: Puente del Inca, a walk facing Aconcagua and lunch at an estancia, all by private car with driver.
Three nights in Luján or downtown, two at a lodge in the Uco Valley, a reserved table at every winery and a Portuguese-speaking advisor from first contact to boarding. Fewer days? The itinerary
Airport welcome and private transfer. Lunch at Espacio Trapiche, the restaurant of Maipú's century-old winery, and late afternoon at Chandon, with a glass of sparkling wine as the sun sets behind the Andes. Overnight in Luján or downtown.
Morning at the Mayan pyramid of Catena Zapata, in Agrelo, with a tasting of the wines that put Argentine Malbec on the map. Free afternoon by the pool. In the evening, the high point: a tasting-menu dinner at Casa Vigil, El Enemigo, among vineyards, art and Alejandro Vigil's wines.
Check-out and transfer to the Uco Valley. Tasting-menu lunch at Zuccardi Valle de Uco —Piedra Infinita, named the world's best winery several times— with the cordillera in the window. Check-in at the lodge among the vines and a first night at the foot of the Andes.
Chef's lunch at DiamAndes, in the Clos de los Siete (or, if you prefer, architecture and art at Alfa Crux). As the day ends, Tardecitas de Andeluna: an open-air tasting with the sun sinking behind the mountains. Second night at the lodge.
Early departure along the international route into the Andes: Puente del Inca, the natural bridge of colored stone, and an easy walk at Laguna de Horcones, with Aconcagua —the roof of the Americas— straight ahead. Lunch at Estancia San Alberto and return to downtown Mendoza for the last night.
A free morning for the last wine purchases and private transfer to the airport. If your flight allows, a farewell tasting at Susana Balbo on the way.
