Trivento is the Argentine project of Chile’s Concha y Toro group, founded in Maipú in 1996. The name comes from the three winds that shape Mendoza’s climate: the polar, the zonda and the sudestada. Its icon Malbec, Eolo, comes from a vineyard planted in 1912 in Lunlunta.
A visit combines the winery and a tasting, with the option of a paired lunch at the restaurant. It is one of Maipú’s largest-scale stops, useful for understanding how wine is made at high volume without giving up its top lines.
