Matervini is the project Santiago Achával, co-founder of Achával-Ferrer, built with Italian winemaker Roberto Cipresso. The name means “mother of wine”, and the focus is singular: Malbec from extreme sites, from Las Compuertas to high-altitude vineyards beyond Mendoza.
The winery, in Las Compuertas, receives small groups for technical, unhurried tastings. A cult visit for those who follow the makers rather than the labels.

Matervini is in Luján de Cuyo, one of Mendoza's wine regions. We handle the private transfers so you arrive without thinking about the logistics.
Do I need a reservation to visit Matervini?
Yes. Visits are by prior reservation and, generally, in private or small groups. We coordinate the booking for you —including dates and tables that aren't always listed online.
