Carinae was born when Philippe and Brigitte Subra, a French couple, bought an estate of old vineyards in Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, and decided to stay. The name comes from the constellation Carina, visible from the southern hemisphere, which also names their labels.
The scale is fine garage winemaking: tiny production, personal attention and tastings where it’s not unusual to be welcomed by one of the owners. For the traveler seeking Maipú’s intimate side.
