Far from the wine routes, the Uco Valley hides a geological secret of breathtaking beauty: the Huayquerías. We invite you to a private expedition to this lunar landscape, a labyrinth of canyons and clay formations that looks like something out of another planet. We have designed this experience for the curious traveler who seeks to be amazed by the diversity of Mendoza, combining an accessible and safe trekking adventure with the comfort of impeccable logistics and a first class gastronomic closure.
Known as the «Cañadón de la Sal», this treasure of San Carlos is the result of millennia of water and wind erosion. Our adventure consists of a low-difficulty trekking 6 kilometers inside the main canyon, whose walls rise up to 50 meters high. Walking along this dry river bed, surrounded by the silence and the ocher textures of the desert, is a meditative and powerful experience. No previous experience is required, only the desire to explore a unique ecosystem, accompanied at all times by a professional guide who will reveal the secrets of its formation.
After immersing yourself in the wild nature, we propose a return to civilization in style. To round off the day, we offer you the chance to have lunch at Cundo, an acclaimed gastronomic haven in Tupungato. Famous for its signature cuisine that pays homage to local products with a modern twist, Cundo offers the perfect warm and sophisticated atmosphere to relax, chat about adventure and enjoy the flavors of the Uco Valley from a different perspective. «We couldn't believe that this landscape existed in Mendoza. Feeling so small inside that canyon is a unique sensation. And to end the day in a restaurant as incredible as Cundo was just perfect.», a family from Texas told us.
The remote beauty of the Huayquerías becomes accessible thanks to our integral logistics. We take care of everything so that you can just focus on exploring.
It is a low difficulty hike, ideal for people with normal physical condition and no previous trekking experience. The terrain is mostly flat, with some areas of sand or loose stones. The pace is easy, with stops for photos and hydration.
No. Las Huayquerías is a natural and rugged area without sanitary infrastructure. It is recommended to use the toilets at the last populated point before starting the hike. Our guide will advise you on this matter.
It is essential to carry at least 1.5 liters of water per person, sunscreen, hat or cap and sunglasses. We recommend carrying a small and comfortable backpack, hiking shoes or sneakers with good soles and a windbreaker coat, as the weather may vary.
Lunch at Cundo is an optional addition to enrich the experience. Our base service includes private transfer and guided trekking. The cost of lunch is not included, allowing you to choose this option according to your preference and pay for it directly at the restaurant.
Experience a day of pure adrenaline in Potrerillos with our package that combines a thrilling 12 km rafting descent on the Mendoza River and a dizzying 1400 meter flight on our canopy circuit. This experience is designed for the independent traveler with their own mobility, offering a full day of action right at our base of operations. It is the perfect plan for those looking to conquer the mountain by water and air.
